La Paz Group partnered with Economic Transformations Group on a project funded by IADB to support the development of several economic clusters in this region of interior central Ecuador, with La Paz Group focused on the development of the nature and cultural tourism clusters. Stakeholders connected to the nature and cultural tourism attractions will be developing a collaborative strategy to integrate into the broader market segments in order to create a more robust sub-destination within one of Latin America’ s premier specialty destinations (complementing the Galapagos Islands, the historical sites of Quito and elsewhere in the country, and the Amazon basin region). Loja will contribute to the ongoing development of Ecuador a a destination with a strong commitment to conservation of it cultural and natural patrimony, utilizing tourism revenues to this end.
